Jazzminds, Guam?

Hey guys!!! Just a quick post of a few from a couple of days ago at JAZZMINDS. ML(Mark Lindberg) & The Plate Lunch and The Bentos with Santino and Joy James, were jazzin down the house!!!!!! Adding to that, I was lucky to be able to see MORE special guests. Trumpet player Eldrich(formerly performed@Las Vegas...WOW!), another trumpet Marcel, and our old friend from GUAM Mel Fausto on vocals!!!!!! Such a great night, with sooo many musicians :) It's cool to see other musicians jump on and JAM with others. Personally, to see Santino, Joy James, Mel Fausto on stage, while me, Gene Park(also from Guam), and Sal Diamore having beer and soco shots really made me feel like I was back home in GUAM. Plus we had at least a dozen more Guam people visiting supporting the LOCAL musicians. Just hearing them cheer with their budweiser in their hand with FOKAI shirts made me feel I was in CASA NAMI or something...haha. Well, here's just a few of the pics from that night. I'll post some more later!!!

いやいや、皆さんお元気ですか？さて、新型ブログになり４回目のアップですが、音楽の写真ばかりです、、、。最近ちょっと結婚式のほうは数少なく、、まぁ、こっちのほうを楽しんでます。そのうちウェディング関係ものせます！！！家族も心配しちゃうよねぇ。（笑）
さて、３月も後残り３日。「あっ」ちゅー間に春ですな。ハワイも最近「雨期」が終わったかな？と思わせるように。ただ、風がよく吹く。そんで冷たい。南国なのにたまにユニクロのフリース着てるよ。そんな事はさておき。。。実は６月にワシントン州・シアトルまでを計画中。私の大好きな日本人ジャズピアニストの「上原ひろみ」の生演奏が聞きたい！！！今や、世界中で演奏し、ジャズ界に旋風を巻き起こしている彼女、、、同じ年くらいなのにとにかくスゴい！！！そんな彼女が２日間、シアトルで演奏。ハワイから＄４００弱で航空券を見つけたのだが、、、あと２クリック、、、。ま、決まったらお知らせします。。。ってことで、一昨日の夜、ジャズバーに行ったとき撮った数枚です。では、また！！！

Blog Post Numba One!!!

My first post on my blog!!! I'll start off with a couple of images I took of my good friend and "Da Numba One Male Bocalist" Santino Sgambelluri. I love listening to LIVE music!!!.....and of course, I always have my camera with me :)
Before my passion for photography grew, and still now, I love music more than anything in my life. Once I picked up a camera, I enjoyed taking photos of what I love, which was live music. Where I grew up in Guam, I was fortunate to be around a number of talented musicians. I remember going out every night lugging my camera around to all the bars. Wait a minute...I think I started by bringing those snap-shot instant cameras.....anyways, all that shooting actually helped out on my photography! I guess I just wanna express my appreciation to all my musician friends, and to music itself.

Random thought, but I just remembered my friend once told me that Music is like Food. You are what you eat. Good music, healthy soul! So, everyone, go eat healthy!!!
Go support your local bands!!! LIVE music is the way to be, go and feel the music :)

どーも、hikoです！新しいブログを作ってみました！！！最近独学でパソコンとオタッキー生活、、、、がこんな感じに仕上がりました。ルックスは・・・どうでしょう？まぁ、そんな事はさておき、このブログでは僕の仕事の結婚式の写真だけではなく、旅行やプライベート、ファッションや食べ物、ぜーんぶアップしていくよ！、、、、、多分。。。
なるべく、英語と日本語、両方で書くさー。ま、家族や友達のみんなも俺の写真見れるし、楽しくやって行こう、楽しく！！！

さて、第一回目の写真は私の音楽人（ミュージシャン）のコレクションから。以前から、何よりも音楽が大好き！！！「音楽あるから命ある」みたいな、、、まぁ、特にライブが好きなんですわ。やっぱり生演奏は音楽を「肌」で感じ取れるのが何とも言えませんねー！ライブにももちろんカメラと一緒。とにかくライブのあるとこに毎晩行ってましたねー。まぁ、飲みながら楽しくできたし、いつも友達や仲間と一緒だったし。そんなこんなで撮りまくったおかげで、現在の経験にもなってる事間違いなし。音楽に感謝！！！
みんなもたまには「生演奏（ライブ）」でも聞きに行っては？！？！？！グアムだったらHouse of Brutusとか、Acanta MallのReds、Sheraton Laguna GuamのPointやAtrioなど、個人的に行ってます。ハワイでは、KapiolaniのJazz MindsやDowntownのDragon's Upstairsなどに行ってます。主にJazzですが、是非どーぞ！！！
